An after-school routine in the middle of Mineola
Our Mineola after-school program serves Mineola schools, and it runs out of the academy at 130 W. Broad St — the same building where our kids, teen, and adult karate classes meet. Transportation from school is part of the program, so kids go from the last bell to the academy, get a snack, get time to play, and get help with homework before the afternoon is over.
Mineola is a small town, and the academy sits in the middle of it on W. Broad St. Parents can walk in, ask questions, and know who is looking after their kid — that is a different thing from a big after-care chain, and it is why families here choose a program run out of a martial arts school.
Because the program happens at the academy, the afternoon puts kids in a room where karate is taught by black belt instructors. Students who want to keep going can move into our regular kids classes; families who only need the after-school hours are welcome to just use those.
