The afternoon, handled
Our Gilmer after-school program starts where the school day ends: we provide transportation from school to the academy at 202 Buffalo St. A child gets off the ride at the dojo instead of an empty house, and the rest of the afternoon has a shape to it — snack, gametime, and homework help before the day is done.
That is the practical version of what an after-school program is supposed to do. Parents who work past the last bell don't have to choose between a sitter and a scramble; kids get a routine that includes food, a chance to burn off the school day, and a quiet stretch for homework, in a building where black belt instructors teach karate every week.
The program serves Gilmer, Harmony, and New Diana schools. That list is the honest one — those are the schools we run transportation for. If your child attends somewhere else, call us and ask, but we won't promise a pickup we can't actually make.
